Connal McInerney is a professional rugby player who plays as a hooker for the Brumbies in Super Rugby. He was born on July 20, 1995, in Australia.

McInerney made his debut in the National Rugby Championship (NRC) in 2014 at the age of 19. He played for the ACT & Combined States under-20s in 2014 and was also a part of the Australia Under-20s side in 2015. He has also played state representative rugby at Under-15 and Colts levels.

In 2018, McInerney was called up to replace Josh Mann-Rea, who was injured early in the season. He performed well and earned a full-time contract for the 2019 season. In 2019, he made 10 appearances for the Brumbies, scoring a hat-trick against the Sunwolves in Tokyo.

McInerney's perseverance paid off, and in January 2020, he agreed to an early contract extension that would keep him at the Brumbies until the end of 2021. He has earned 22 caps for the Brumbies before the Super Rugby season was called off in 2020.

McInerney had played a total of 43 games for the Brumbies in Super Rugby and had earned two caps for the Wallabies. He continues to be an important player for the Brumbies and is considered one of the top up-and-coming hookers in Australian rugby.
