A dynamic wing/fullback, Buxton has been a part of the New Zealand sevens team since 2009 and added plenty of spark to the blue and gold back three in 2011. As part of the Highlanders Wider Training Group in 2012, Popoalii was called into the Highlanders for nine appearances and impressed with his speed and skill around the field. He played a significant role in Otago’s successful 2012 ITM Cup campaign.
