Jonny May confirms his retirement from professional rugby.
At the age of 36, Jonny May confirmed his retirement from professional rugby with immediate effect after finishing the regular season of the Pro D2 2025/26 with Soyaux-Angoulême XV.
He debuted with England against Argentina in 2013, was called up for the RWC 2023 after Anthony Watson's injury, and earned more than 70 caps with the England national team.
May won 2 Six Nations titles (2017 and 2020) with England and was runner-up at the RWC 2019 in Japan. His 36 tries in 78 appearances place him second on England's all-time list of top try scorers.
