Champions Cup Scrum and Line Out Stats

We look at the set piece scores from the weekends action.

Sale v Glasgow:

Both sides had six scrum feeds each with Sale winning 83% of their own ball and Glasgow 80%. Both sides recorded 100% success in their line out with Max Wilson winning 6 and Ben Bamber and Scott Cummings 4 each.

Bayonne v Stormers:

Bayonne were unable to get a perfect record at their set piece this weekend, their scrum ran at 67% and line out 95%, the Stormers on the other hand were perfect with theirs winning 10/10 scrum and 12/12 line out's. Arthur Iturria won 8 line outs while Lucas Paulos and Ben-Jason Dixon won 5 each.

Saracens v Clermont:

Saracens won 92% of their 16 scrums and 94% of their 16 line outs. Clermont were perfect at scrum time and 81% at line out. Five players on the day won four line outs.

Bulls v Bordeaux:

Both sides had perfect records at scrum time while the Bulls failed at line out time winning just 69% of their own ball while Bordeaux were on 92%. Cameron Woki won 5 line outs and both Reinhardt Ludwig and Adam Coleman finished on 4 each.

La Rochelle v Leicester:

La Rochelle were perfect at scrum time and won 89% of their line outs with Leicester faultering in this department registering 80% and 72% respectively. Thomas Lavault won 6 line out's

Leinster v Harlequins:

Leinster secured 89% of their scrums and all of their line outs while Quins only managed to win 75% of their scrums and 89% at line out time. Diarmuid Mangan won 5 line outs on the day.

Scarlets v Bristol:

Joe Batley won 6 line outs with Max Douglas close behind with 5. Scarlets were the only side to register 10% at a set piece with their scrums but were worse off at line out time than Bristol.

Bath v Munster:

Bath won 80% of their line outs and Munster 77% in the rain at the Rec as both sides had a strong scrum winning 100% each. Tadhg Beirne won a massive 10 line outs

Pau v Northampton:

Pau were terrible at scrum time winning just half on their own feed, with Saints being perfect. Nothampton had 94% line out wins to 92% of Pau. Loic Credoz won 8 from the 12 Pau line outs

Toulouse v Sharks:

Toulouse secured 100% of their scrums and line out's with the Sharks only real issue being the line out's with just 74% success. Thibaut Flament won a mammoth 11 line outs.

Gloucester v Castres:

Gloucester had a horrible day at line outs winning just 60% off their own ball but other than that both sides were perfect at set piece. Guillaume Ducat won 13 line out's, 10/10 from his own ball and three steals.

Edinburgh v Toulon:

Both sides recorded 100% success at scrum time but 67% (Edinburgh) and 75% (Toulon) at line out time. Esteban Abadie won six line outs on the night
