Frank Halai represented Counties Manukau in the ITM Cup having previously played for Waikato.

In October 2012 it was announced that he would join the Blues for the 2013 Super Rugby season. Halai is a former All Black Sevens representative. This towering, prolific try scorer, is a powerful runner with an eye for the gap.

Halai, who was capped by the All Blacks in 2013 and previously represented New Zealand 7s, joined Wasps from the Auckland Blues ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Halai made a big impact during his first season in England, scoring 12 tries in 25 appearances. He has added two tries in his 16 appearances this season.

In May 2017, Halai announced that he will join Pau next season in the Top 14 following two seasons with Wasps.
