Haydon-Wood began his professional career with Wasps, a club based in Coventry, England.
Haydon-Wood had shown promise and potential as a player. He had previously represented the English national team at the U20 level, demonstrating his talent and abilities.
However, his time with Wasps was cut short due to the club's financial collapse in October 17, leaving him and several others without work. After the unfortunate circumstances at Wasps, Haydon-Wood has secured a short-term deal to play in France until the end of the current season. He joined RC Massy Essonne, a club that competes in the French rugby system.
He had a breakthrough period while playing for Newcastle Falcons. During that time, he made 17 appearances in the Premiership, with nine of them as a starter for the Falcons.
Haydon-Wood signed with Exeter Chiefs for the 2023/2024 season.
