New Deal | Tigers lock in Finn Theobald-Thomas

Leicester Tigers have re-signed 21-year-old hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas.

Theobald-Thomas joined the club ahead of the 2023/24 season, making his debut against Bedford Blues in the Premiership Cup.

The former Worcester and Gloucester player had the distinction of playing National League One and Investec Champions Cup rugby in a seven-day period in his first season at the club and has made 13 appearances in Tigers colours to date.

Speaking on the opportunity to stay at Tigers, Theobald-Thomas said: “I’m happy to be staying.”

“I’ve learned loads being here, from the older lads. I feel like this is home and the best place for me to be to keep growing as a player.

“Theres a good group of young lads here, we’re all competing as well as helping each other, so there’s nowhere else I would want to be.”

Leicester Tigers General Manager, Richard Wilks said: “We are very happy that Finn has chosen to continue his development here.”

“Finn has got a natural confrontational and competitive edge that we value here at Leicester Tigers, and he and the coaches are working hard on the refinements in his game.

“He’s 21 and he’s already at a good level for his age in his position, so the opportunity for him to be a very good player for this club is there for him to take.”
