Hendrik Bernardus van der Walt, more affectionately known as Nardus is a product of Affies in Pretoria. He has played age group rugby for the Blue Bulls and Varsity Cup for Tuks. A mobile flanker with good skills not only has him playing top flight rugby but also saw him represent a number of 7's sides including the SA Academy side as well as the Blue Bulls 7's team. He signed a deal with Griquas for the 2015 Currie Cup season.
At the end of the 2016 season, van der Walt signed for the Pumas.
