Leinster take a 19-12 lead over Connacht into halftime. Connacht struck first with a try 15 minutes in, but Leinster hit back with a score after 22 minutes to lead 7-5. A second Connacht try approaching the half hour mark saw them back in front, but Leinster responded shortly after with their second score to lead 14-12. Leinster would finish the half with their third try with the final play for a seven point advantage at the break.
