Out of Auckland Grammar, Fehi Fineanganofo fought past several injury setbacks before finding his place in the All Blacks Sevens.
Fineanganofo was a star of schoolboy rugby, selected for the New Zealand Schools team in 2020. In 2021 he joined the All Blacks Sevens for one of their Olympic preparation tournaments, but injury delayed his inclusion in the full squad.
Fineanganofo made his debut in Los Angeles 2023 and signed a full time contract with the team for the 2024 season.
A standout on the World SVNS Series he was also a member of the New Zealand Sevens team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In 24 games for Bay of Plenty he scored 16 tries, and since signing with the Hurricanes in 2025 he’s scored 23 tries in 26 matches, including an all-time Super Rugby record of 17 tries in 2026.
