Quilter Nations Series: Everything You Need To Know
The Quilter Nations Series resumes this weekend, putting international rugby on the global stage, and reigniting fierce rivalries between some of the biggest nations in the sport.
As tournament organiser, Six Nations Rugby is pleased to offer media a range of rights free content and information to support coverage. Coverage of the Quilter Nations Series also extends across social and digital channels, with new games, and original content that will be running throughout November.
Top 10 Talking Points Ahead of Round 5 of the Quilter Nations Series:
- The top 12 teams in the World Rugby rankings ahead of the Rugby World Cup draw on December 3, will meet next year in the inaugural Nations Championship.
- Wales face World Cup champions South Africa this weekend at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in Round 5 of the Quilter Nations Series. It is the last international Test rugby fixture of the year.
- Dominant Force: South Africa have won 19 of their last 20 Tests in the northern hemisphere, including each of their last 13 - each of the Springboks’ four victories in the Quilter Nations Series have come by double-digit margin.
- Round Four of the Quilter Nations Series delivered a cumulative audience of over 9.2million across core Northern Hemisphere markets, with France v Australia, and Ireland v South Africa leading the way with tune in.
- The Wales vs New Zealand fixture last week produced the largest audience for a Wales Quilter Nations Series fixture, with a +26% improvement on TNT Sports from the previous week.
- The Ireland vs South Africa fixture produced the highest audience for a 17:40 KO for this Quilter Nations Series. This fixture also produced RTE’s highest audience of the Series so far and was the largest on TNT Sports for an Irish game this year.
- As England’s final game in the Quilter Nations Series, England vs Argentina saw an increase of +45% on TNT Sports from England's final match vs Japan last year.
