Independent Disciplinary update: Enoch Opoku Gyamfi

Italy (No. 5), Enoch Opoku Gyamfi, will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after he was awarded a red card by Saba Makharadze (Referee) for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.13 (A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously.

Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders) in the U20s Six Nations Championship match between France and Italy on Saturday 21st February 2026.

The player will attend the hearing via video conference before an independent Disciplinary Committee comprising Jeremy Summers (chair), Christian Scotland-Williamson and Ofisa Tonu’u. The hearing will take place on Tuesday 24th February 2026 at 8pm (GMT).
