Details of 2020-21 Guinness Pro14 Final confirmed

The details of the 2020-21 Guinness Pro14 final have been confirmed and the spectacle will take place on 27 March at the RDS Arena at 17:00 and will be contested by Leinster and Munster.

Despite their heavyweight statuses in the competition, this will be only the third time that the two Irish sides have met in the final of this competition.

The first clash took place on 15 December 2001 at Lansdowne Road and was won by Leinster.

A whole decade later, the red and blue jerseys were pitted against one another again, this time at Thomond Park in 2011. Revenge was sweet for Munster as they put their rivals away to claim the title.

Leinster are on top of Conference A with a total of 70 points from their 14 victories while Munster top Conference B with 59 points from their 13 wins.

Leinster, as defending champions, will prove a hard nut to crack for their rivals, though finals can be very unpredictable beasts.

The game will be broadcast live by eir Sport and TG4 in the Republic of Ireland, with Premier Sports screening the contest live across the UK in addition to DAZN’s coverage in Italy and SuperSport’s showing in South Africa.
