Benetton Rugby signs Argentina Prop Gonzalo Hughes

Argentinian prop Gonzalo Hughes has signed with Benetton Rugby with effect fom 01 July 2026 - 30 June 2028. Born April 09 1998 in Trelew, Argentina, he grew up playing rugby at the Patooruzu Rugby Club in Chubut, Patagonia. In 2018 he played in the Junior World Cup with the Pumitas. In 2022 he moved to Europe, joining Petrarca Rugby where he played for two seasons, leading the way in winning the 2024 Italian Championship with the Padua team.
