Born in Brazil, Larissa Henwood (née Lima) began her rugby career in Portugal, representing
the Portuguese rugby sevens team in Rugby Europe Sevens and the World University
Championship. She later moved to New Zealand, competing in the Farah Palmer Cup from
2017 to 2021. After pausing her career for motherhood, she returned to make her debut for
Brazil in 2024. Married to Sam Henwood, former Chiefs and Hurricanes.
She was selected to play for Brazil Women at the 2025 Rugby World Cup
