Santiago Carreras, born on 30 March 1998, is an Argentine rugby union player who currently plays for Gloucester. Known for his versatility, Carreras can play as a fullback, wing, and fly-half, showcasing his skills in different positions on the field.

Carreras first emerged on the scene as part of the Argentina U20s squad in 2017, where he impressed with his performances. Hailing from Córdoba, he quickly gained attention for his speed and agility as an outside back. Despite his young age, Carreras displayed maturity and adaptability, being comfortable in various positions, including fullback, wing, and even the centres.

His performances caught the attention of the wider Argentina squad, and in 2018, he joined the Jaguares Super Rugby team. He made his debut for the Argentina XV in the America's Rugby Championship, a testament to his growing reputation in Argentine rugby.

The year 2019 proved to be a breakthrough for Carreras. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Jaguares, showcasing his attacking prowess by scoring four tries in seven appearances. In 2020, Carreras made his test debut for the Argentina national team, earning his first cap. He continued to impress in international competitions, and on 14 November 2020, he was a starter in Argentina's historic first-ever victory against the All Blacks, a significant achievement for Argentine rugby.

After the Tri Nations tournament in Australia, Carreras signed a one-year deal with Premiership club Gloucester until the end of the 2020/21 season. This move provided him with the opportunity to further develop his skills and gain valuable experience in the highly competitive English Premiership.
