Born in Fiji, Sam was schooled in Germany and Scotland, before catching the eye of the Tigers Academy coaches, becoming a regular feature in the Premiership side’s ‘A’ team.
The youngster also made his name known to the Tigers faithful with a try against Loughborough Students, in a pre-season friendly at Welford Road, in October 2015.
Nottingham captured Yawayawa on a year-long, dual-registration deal from Leicester Tigers.
In 2017 Yawayawa was moved back to Scotland by the BT Scottish Rugby Academy and aligned by the Union to Glasgow Warriors, whilst running out for Glasgow Hawks.
August 2020 saw him sign a deal with London Scottish for 2020/21 season.
