Justin Harrison became the first Wallaby from Newman High School, Sydney, in July 2001 when he debut against the British and Irish Lions Tour to Australia. Thin and tall, he specialised in lineout play, but he was mobile, combative and gave a hard edge to every team he played for.
Harrison earned his debut thanks to some stellar performances against the British and Irish Lions leading up to the final test, where we represented the Australia "A"s team that shocked the visitors and he was involved in the close match between the Brumbies and tourists that ended 28-30 to the visitors.
Harrison then was selected for his first major overseas tour with the Wallabies to England, Spain, France and Wales. In 2002 he was involved in five games for Australia. By 2004 Harrison was the incumbent Wallaby lock. He would leave Brumbies that year and join Waratahs for the upcoming season where he would spend 2 years playing in Sydney.
In 2005 he announced that he would be joining Irish side Ulster ahead of the 2005/6 season. He remained at Ulster until 2008 before joining English side Bath.
He returned to the Brumbies in 2010 as a forwards coach on a two-year contract subsequently ending his professional rugby career.
