After a string of stellar performances in the Varsity Cup for Tuks Janse van Vuren was offered a contract with Griquas for the 2017 & 2018 seasons.
In 2019 he made one appearance for the Northern Free State Griffons before joining the Pumas in 2020.
September 2021 saw him sign a deal with the Lions, joining the club's United Rugby Championship squad.
