A powerful back-rower of Samoan descent, Patrick Tafa is another of NSW’s emerging talent, having made the switch from Queensland.
He comes from a rugby family with his father having played for Manu Samoa. Aside from rugby, Tafa was handy at javelin and shotput at school.
Currently playing with Northern Suburbs in the Shute Shield, Tafa brings Junior Wallabies and pathways experiences to the squad.
Having featured in two campaigns with the Junior Wallabies in 2018 and 2019, Tafa originally impressed in the NSW Generation Blue program in 2019.
He heads into the 2020 Super Rugby season uncapped after impressing with performances for the NSW Country Eagles in the NRC.
