Zeilinga on the move?

Sharks number ten Fred Zeilinga could be taking his career elsewhere at the end of the season, according to reports in South Africa.
The 22-year-old has been a regular for the Sharks in Super Rugby and Currie Cup action over the last two seasons, operating as a back-up for Springbok star Pat Lambie and now currently behind Lionel Cronjé.
Perhaps looking for some regular rugby as a first-choice number ten, Zeilinga has been targeted by the Cheetahs and could be new head coach Franco Smith’s first major signing since taking over from Naka Drotské.
Netwerk24 add that another factor in the potential move is that Joe Pietersen, the current fly-half for the Cheetahs, is on a contract that will expire when the Super Rugby campaign comes to an end.
Zeilinga is regarded as the cheaper option and has shown so far to be an exciting young talent who would no doubt benefit from more exposure on the field.
