Worcester Warriors 13-36 Bristol Bears | Reaction, Stats, Highlights and More

Bristol Bears delivered an outstanding second-half performance to earn a historic victory at Sixways, their first win at Worcester's home ground in more than 14 years.

The win saw Pat Lam's men battled from 13-10 down at the interval scoring 26 answered points to beat Worcester 13-36.

Ed Holmes opened the scoring in the seventh minute for Bristol, continuing his fine run of form, before Duncan Weir made it a four-point game with his converted penalty. Melani Nanai scored on his return for Worcester with Weir adding the extras and another penalty with the latter proving to be Worcester's final contribution to the scoreboard in the 33rd minute. Sheedy added a penalty as the sides went into the break with Worcester leading by three.

Dan Thomas started the second-half spree powering over from a driving lineout before Siale Piutau scythed through the Warriors’ defence to touch down just six minutes later. Andy Uren and Ben Earl both touched down to secure the result before a melee broke out before the final whistle which saw Siale Piutau get yellow carded and Andrew Kitchener red-carded.

KEY MOMENT

A high tackle on Semi Radradra early in the first half proved to be the turning point for the Bears as kicked to the corner and Dan Thomas powered over from the driving maul. From there it was all Bristol as they powered to victory.
