Watch: The impressive highlight reel of future All Black Hoskins Sotutu
- 2202
A new decade, a fresh start. Not only will the All Blacks start the new decade with a new head coach but they will be on the hunt to replace the country's most capped no.8 in their test history.
After two rounds of Super Rugby Aotearoa, there were two standouts in the run for the vacant black no.8 jersey.
One of which is 21-year-old Blues' no.8 Hoskins Sotutu. Son of former Auckland & Fijian back Waisake Sotutu, Hoskins is rapidly stepping out of his father's shadow in Auckland and is making a real name for himself and many feel it is only a matter of time before he gets his New Zealand cap.
Sotutu is the only player to have made 20+ carries and 20+ tackles in the opening two games of Super Rugby Aotearoa, carrying the ball 22 times and making 27 tackles through two games. He has also assisted and scored a try while winning two turnovers.
Watch his highlights from the opening game which includes a handy clearance kick.
