Waisake Naholo was gifted a try in his final appearance at Forsyth Barr Stadium for the Highlanders.
The Highlanders turned the ball over as Aaron Smith went deep into the Bulls half before the ball was slung out to Sio Tomkinson who chipped over the top of the Bulls defence.
The ball sat up perfectly for Naholo who just had to dot the ball over the line.
Naholo is the Highlanders all time leading try scorer and will leave the Highlanders after the Rugby World Cup to join London Irish in the Premiership.
The Highlanders do have one more home game next weekend but the game against the Waratahs will take place at Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill.
Naholo dubbed up later in the game off a great pass by Aaron Smith to Shannon Frizell who put the winger over.
