Bristol Bears claimed a convincing win over their West Country rivals Gloucester on Saturday with Pat Lam's side dominating from the first whistle but just couldn't break through the Gloucester defence.
Callum Sheedy opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a shot at goal and Owen Williams responded a few minutes later. This trend continued until the 30th minute as Sheedy converted two in a row to send Bristol into the break 15-9 up.
One of the standout moments from the first half was this outstanding step from Bristol no.8 Nathan Hughes.

Bristol's dominance began to pay off as Henry Purdy scored against his former employers in the 46th minute. Luke Morahan and Mat Protheroe dotted down for Bristol as they made the most of their dominance with Nathan Hughes enjoying a fantastic game and was named man of the match.

Freddie Clarke scored a late try to make the score more respectable before Purdy was sent to the bin with two minutes left to play after he gave away a cynical penalty.
The win for Bristol is a historic one as it is their biggest over their West Country rivals in Premiership history. The competition goes on a break now until the second week in February.
