Ulster cruise past Racing 92

Ulster had a pefect start to their Challenge Cup campaign with a 61-7 win over Racing 92.

Richie Murphy's men ran in 9 tries with 8 of them being converted.

Players that stood out in the match

David McCann – Man of the match. He was everywhere on the park. Did all the dirty work and carried the ball the most (15 times).
Zac Ward – Worked both sides of the pitch. Always hungry looking for work.
Natha Doak – Steered the team in the right way. Gave good service and had a high work rate in defense and attack
Jack Murphy – He brought his kicking boots only missing 2 kicks

Vladi Ashvetia – Most tackles completed (22) and most dominant tackles too (5).

Positives and work-ons for each team
Ulster-They may have won with a big margin but a 81% tackle rate is something they would want to improve. A big positive is the 93 gainline carries.
Racing 92-The visitors only managed 37% possession and 43% territory. You cannot win matches if you don't have the ball.Their lineouts (5/6) and rucks (62/67) is something they would be happy with.

What is next for the two teams?

Ulster will travel to Cardiff next Saturday while Racing will welcome Exeter in round two of the Challenge Cup
