Trinder, 31, has been an incredible servant to Gloucester Rugby having originally made his debut in Cherry & White against Sale Sharks in 2008. 13 years later, the centre has made 172 appearances, and scored 46 tries for the Club.
He came through the academy ranks at Kingsholm with the likes of Jonny May and Charlie Sharples. He went on to represent England at U20, the England Saxons, as well as playing for England against the Barbarians.
Despite a number of setbacks disrupting Trinder’s rhythm in Cherry & White, it’s credit to Henry for the way in which he was determined and dedicated to bounce-back stronger each time as well as continuing to be the consummate professional around the Club.
Henry celebrated his testimonial year during the 2019-20 season dubbed the ‘Trindermonial’ to mark an incredible career in Cherry & White, raising money for the Pied Piper Appeal.
Trinder will leave the Cherry & Whites to pursue an opportunity to play in France with RC Vannes. The Brittany-based club currently sit 2nd in the French Pro D2, chasing promotion to the Top 14, and Chief Operating Officer Alex Brown knows Henry is excited to tackle a fresh challenge in north-west France.
