Pau fully deserved their 27-29 victory away at Pau this evening and played a great brand of attacking rugby. A superb individual try from Colin Slade where ran over his opposite number Ben Urdapiletta really set the tone for the game inside 10 minutes. The hosts responded with scores of their own as Armand Batlle and Marc-Antoine Rallier both crossed the white-wash, giving Castres a 17-10 lead at the interval. Pau started the second half with plenty of confidence and Votu's try 5 minutes into the second half gave the visitors real hope of getting something from the game. Baptiste Pesenti managed to muscle his way over from close range 10 minutes later but Castres cancelled this out with a brilliant try from Combezu who combined nicely with Urdapiletta in the build up. It was the visitors who had the final say with Julien Thomas' try converted by Colin Slade on 67 minutes ultimately sealing a deserved 27-29 victory.
