eicester Tigers have signed Australian international forward, Jed Holloway on a short-term contract.
Holloway, who can play at lock or in the back-row, earned 12 caps for the Wallabies after making his test debut in 2022 and departed the NSW Waratahs in the summer having made over 100 appearances for his home state.
The 32-year-old previously had a short stint with Munster, and will join Major League Rugby franchise, San Diego Legion at the end of his stint with Tigers.
Speaking about joining the club, Holloway said he was determined to enjoy the experience.
“It’s all happened very quickly, and I’m excited to be here,” he said.
“Leicester is obviously a very famous club and when the opportunity came to join for this next couple of months, I jumped at it.
“Everyone’s been really welcoming so far, and I’m focused now on adding value to the team any way I can while I’m here.”
Leicester Tigers head coach, Michael Cheika added: “We’re really pleased to be able to bring in a player of Jed’s quality and experience for this next block of games.”
"Coming out of the international window, we obviously have a few guys missing in that lock/back-row role and we have big games coming up in the league. Europe games as well.
“Jed’s got the qualities in his game that we need so adding add him to the roster to help with the selection challenges we have is great.
“We welcomed him today and will quickly get him up to speed with what we’re doing.”
