Dragons sign Jarryd Sage from Southern Kings

Sage joined the Kings from the Golden Lions earlier this season, but has struggled to command a regular place with the Port Elizabeth side, making just one appearance off the bench - in the home defeat to Ulster last weekend.

He will link up with the Men of Gwent from the start of next month.

Leicester Tigers sign Tatafu Polota-Nau


Leicester Tigers have completed the signing of Australia international hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau on a two-and-a-half year contract, beginning in December 2017.


A former Australia Schools international, Polota-Nau earned the distinction of winning a first cap for Australia as a 20-year-old before he had played at Super Rugby level.

Shortlist revealed for IRPA Try of the Year

The contenders for the International Rugby Players’ Association (IRPA) Try of the Year 2017 have been revealed, with the winner to be announced at the World Rugby Awards in Monte Carlo on 26 November.

Two solo tries are shortlisted with New Zealand winger Portia Woodman’s score in the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 semi-final and Georgia scrum-half Gela Aprasidze’s effort in the World Rugby U20 Championship joined by scores finished off by Argentina full-back Joaquin Tuculet and British and Irish Lions flanker Sean O’Brien.

Southern Kings sign Anthony Volmink

The Kings have signed winger Anthony Volmink from the Lions to bolster their backline in the Pro14.

According to the Herald (South Africa), Volmink will soon arrive in Port Elizabeth after agreeing to terms to join the Kings.
