Billionaire investors from the United Arab Emirates are set to takeover PROD2 side Beziers and along with a star-studded list of players linked with the club, the side are set to be boosted by a world class coaching ticket.

The ambitious French club is currently battling in the highly competitive French second division but the once-proud club won 11 French titles and are desperate to be a major force in Europe again and are prepared to go on a spending spree to achieve that.

While the likes of Courtney Lawes, Beauden Barrett and Dan Biggar have all been linked to the club, French newspaper Midi Olympique have reported that the club will bring an experienced coaching ticket to match their stars.

Former France international Christophe Dominici is set to become the club's Sporting Director with former Wallabies head coach Michael Chieka to join as the side's head coach.

Both Midi Olympique and the Sydney Morning Herald have linked Cheika with the job at Beziers with the Sydney Morning Herald stating that it was "a done deal" if the takeover is successful.

Although the latter stages of his time at the Wallabies have been criticised, Cheika has a history of success while rebuilding underperforming clubs and is set to get get the assistance of former Argentine prop Rodrigo and Los Pumas legend Juan Martin Hernandez.

Before taking the top job in Australia, Cheika transformed Leinster from cellar dwellers to contenders and guided the Waratahs to their first Super Rugby title in 19 years.

At Leinster he coached the side to victory in 2009, beating Leicester to win their first Heineken Cup as Cheika became the only coach to win both the northern and southern hemisphere continental club trophies.

Beziers was a powerhouse of French rugby between the 1970s and 1980s but has struggled for recent success having been relegated on a number of occasions.
