Nature of Offence: Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.

Raymond Tuputupu of the Hurricanes has been issued a Red Card for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Tuputupu is alleged to have contravened Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, during the match between the Chiefs and Hurricanes at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton on 24 May 2024.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 27 May 2024, 6pm(AEST), 8pm(NZST) via video-conference.

Nature of Offence: Law 9.20: Dangerous play in a ruck or maul. a. A player must not charge into a ruck or maul. Charging includes any contact made without binding onto another player in the ruck or maul.


Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 65:00

Taniela Tupou of the Rebels has been cited for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Tupou is alleged to have contravened Law 9.20: Dangerous play in a ruck or maul, during the match between the Brumbies and Rebels at GIO Stadium in Canberra on 24 May 2024.

Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 27 May 2024, 6pm(AEST), 8pm(NZST) via video-conference.


ADRIAN CHOAT CITED

Position: Flanker
Date of Incident: 25 May2024
Nature of Offence: Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.

Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 16:45

Adrian Choat of the Blues has been cited for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Choat is alleged to have contravened Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, during the match between the Crusaders and Blues at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch on 25 May 2024.

Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 8 April 2024, 6pm(AEST), 8pm(NZST) via video-conference.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to the Foul Play Review Committee to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the Foul Play Review Committee.
