Stormers outlast 14-man Blues in Cape Town


The Blues, a man down for most of the match, have fallen to their second Super Rugby defeat, losing to the Stormers 27-16 in Cape Town.



Nic Groom and Dillyn Leyds scored the tries for Stormers at Newlands, who made it two wins from the first two rounds.

Demetri Catrakilis kicked four penalties for the South Africans, while Kurt Coleman added a fifth.



The Blues' only try came through Jimmy Cowan, with Ihaia West kicking three penalties and a conversion.

But it was always an uphill struggle for the visitors after lock Hayden Triggs was sent off for a reported punch in the 24th minute.…
