REPORT: Dave Rennie to hand out at least three starting debuts against the All Blacks

Dave Rennie will start three uncapped Queensland Reds players when he names his first matchday 23 to face the All Blacks on Sunday.

This is according to a report by Sam Phillips and Tom Decent at The Sydney Morning Herald.

No.8 Harry Wilson, winger Filipo Daugunu and centre Hunter Paisami are set to go straight into the Bledisloe Cup furnace according to The Herald with all three players being rewarded for their Super Rugby AU form with starting debuts.

According to the report, Brumbies pivot Noah Lolesio was also considered as a potential starter but he is set to be eased into test rugby off the bench with James O'Connor set to start in the prized No.10 jersey.

Looseforward Harry Wilson broke into the Queensland Reds side this year having starred for the Australian u20s in 2019 and has been rewarded for his efforts while Filipo Daugunu was one of the stars of Super Rugby AU having helped the Reds to the final. Daugunu is set to be joined in the outside backs by Rebels winger Marika Koroibete who was named the Australian Player of the Year last year.

Meanwhile, Hunter Paisami's inclusion in Rennie's starting XV has in part come about due to the absence of star back Jordan Petaia who the Wallabies have insisted for weeks would be available but sources told the Herald he had not spent enough time on the training paddock to be considered for selection.

The 22-year-old was sleeping in his agent's office every night less than 18 months ago, having been dumped by the Melbourne Rebels before the Reds handed him at lifeline which he took with both hands following the departure of Samu Kerevi.
