1. Gethin Jenkins

The dynamic Welsh loosehead was one of the stand out performers in his side's victory this weekend. He was really solid at scrum time, consistently piling pressure on his opposite number and forcing several vital scrum penalties. He showed great determination in attack, constantly making himself available to carry. He stood up to the test in defence, making all his tackles.

2. John Andrew

The young hooker was very impressive in his side’s narrow victory over the Southern Kings. Accurate at the lineout, solid in defence and effective with ball in hand, managing to score two tries.

3. Dimitri Arhip


Despite suffering a disappointing defeat to Edinburgh, Arhip put in an excellent performance at tighthead for the Ospreys. He was rock solid at scrum time and made a staggering 17 tackles in defence. He also managed to bag himself a try.

4. Tim Swinson


The veteran second row forward put in an excellent performance for Glasgow this weekend. He was impeccable at the lineout, dogged at the breakdown and dynamite in defence; making 16 tackles some of which coming at key moments of the game.

5. David Bulbring

The giant South African lock was the standout performer in the Scarlets pack as they edged past Treviso. He was a great lineout option for his hooker, got through a huge amount of work at the breakdown and carried really effectively when required.

6. Andisa Ntsila

The young South African flanker was one of the standout performers for the Kings this weekend. He got through a huge amount of work at the breakdown, carried well when required and made 10 vital tackles.

7. Olly Robinson

Robinson was the rightful winner of the man of the match award as his side smashed Zebre by 29 points. He looked really dangerous with ball in hand, consistently getting over the gainline. He also showed really soft hands and great offloading skills as time and time again he set teammates into key attacking spaces. Defensively he was rock solid and dogged at the breakdown.

8. Cornell Du Preez

The Scot put in a man of the match performance this weekend as his side eased past the Ospreys. He recorded a tackle success rate of 100%, got a try assist and made an impressive 15 carries, consistently getting over the gainline.

9. George Horne

For the second week in a row the young scrum-half finds himself in our team of the week. He marshalled his backline with great maturity, kicked really well out of hand and scored two tries thanks to some quick thinking and even quicker footwork.

10. JJ Hanrahan

Hanrahan showed Munster fans exactly what they had been missing during his injury spell with another phenomenal outhalf performance. He was immaculate from the tee recording a kick success rate of 100%, converting 7 of his 7 attempts. He was also rock solid in defence, making 6 tackles and missing none.

11. Nikola Matawalu

The Fijian flyer was simply unplayable this weekend. He made countless breaks, showing incredible footwork and blistering pace to gain a whopping 159 metres for his side. He provided us with the highlight of the weekend when he danced around the Leinster defence and sprinted the length of the field before offloading to Grigg to finish off the try.

12. Willis Halaholo

The Kiwi put in a superb performance at inside centre for his side in their demolition of Zebre today. He caused the Italian side a lot of problems throughout this game with his combination of mesmerising footwork and blistering pace, both of which were clear to see when he ghosted through the Zebre defence to touch down for a brilliant try.

 13. Jordan Larmour

Another player who finds himself in the team of the week for the second week running. The young man continues to back up his hype with another display of devastating attacking play. He made 2 clean breaks, beating 7 defenders and gaining a total of 134 metres. He also recorded an impressive tackle success rate of 100%.

14. Blair Kinghorn

At just 20 years of age, the young man showed exactly why he is one of the hottest prospects in Scottish rugby at the moment. He was menacing all day with ball in hand, beating countless opposition defenders and gaining a total of 111 metres for his side. He scored one try and played a key role in another as his side cruised to victory.

15. Charles Piutau

As always, the Ulster fullback was immense today. He caused the opposition defence a host of problems from start to finish when running with ball in hand. He beat 7 defenders, gained a total of 135 metres and played a key role in several of his side’s tries.
