PRO14 highlights: Cheetahs vs Cardiff Blues

There was very little to separate the two teams this evening in a ferocious battle in South Africa. Maxwane got the try-scoring off to a start after 14 minutes followed by another Cheetahs try from Venter ten minutes later. Maxwane got over for his second of the evening just before halftime bringing the HT score to 22-6. The visitors were left with quite a tough climb in the second half but made a strong comeback effort kicked off by Owen Lane who got his sides first try after 50 minutes. Halaholo showed his fancy footwork to get over the line ten minutes later with super sub Lee-Lo dotting down another ten minutes later for Cardiff to take the lead. It left us with a nailbiting finish that went 7 minutes into overtime when Cheetahs were camped on Cardiff's line with numerous repetitive penalties and scrums. Eventually, the referee awarded the Cheetahs with a penalty try for them to walk away victorious.
