Preview: Treviso vs Leinster
- 2526
Leinster travel to Italy to face Treviso still in search of a first away win of the season, and they will know that the home side will make for an extremely tough match on Sunday. Treviso are winless this term, and rooted to the bottom of the table yet to pick up a point.
Treviso have found the going tough so far this year. Not only without a win as yet, they are without a point having been comprehensively beaten on each of their five outings so far this year. They continue with the pairing of Luke McLean and Edoardo Gori at outhalf and scrum half respectively, hoping they will be able to get the as yet mis-firing Treviso backline back on form.
Leinster are back to what looks like full strength having been shorn of their Ireland stars for a number of weeks now. The Leinster youngsters acquitted themselves in recent weeks, but with the exceptions of Josh Van Der Flier, Luke McGrath and Cathal Marsh on the bench, its all change for the Leinster province. In what will be a big day for Leinster fans, Jonathan Sexton makes his long awaited return to the province, starting at outhalf. Luke FitzGerald starts at 12 alongside Ben Teo, while Nacewa, McFadden and Dave Kearney form a dangerous looking back three. In the pack there are further Ireland returnees, with McGrath, Furlong, Cronin and Murphy back in the blue jersey. Further strength awaits on the bench, while Nacewa is named Leinster captain for the first time.
Leinster will know they have a tough task ahead of them, as Treviso always play with spirit and passion in front of their fans. But with such quality available to the Irish side, its hard to imagine that they won’t win and climb further up the table. Follow the action with Ultimate Rugby from 16:00 on Sunday.
