Prem Rugby Semi Finals TOTW
Northampton and Exeter have made it through to the Prem Rugby Final next week after overcoming Leicester and Bath. Exeter held the defending champions scoreless for the final 47 minutes of the game at the Rec and fended off 40 phases deep in their 22 to hold Bath up over the line. Here is our Team of the Week.
- Ethan Burger - Exeter | Coming off the bench, he made an impact few saw as he forced penalties off Thomas du Toit and was great both sides of the ball
- Joseph Dweba - Exeter | The Exeter replacement front row coming on was the turning point in the game
- Elliot Millar-Mills - Northampton | Close between him and Thomas du Toit
- George Martin - Leicester | Massive shift from Martin and his lock partner
- Ollie Chessum - Leicester | Brilliant performance and captaincy
- Tom Hooper - Exeter | Another incredible performance finishing with 26 tackles
- Christ Tshiunza - Exeter | The ability he and Hooper have with ball in hand should be illegal for men that size
- Henry Pollock - Northampton | Incredible performance in the wide and tight channels
- Stephen Varney - Exeter | One of the toughest decisions with no 9 standing out head and shoulders above the rest
- Fin Smith - Northampton | Great performance from the England 10 and one that would make it a simple call to keep him starting for the national side.
- Henry Arundell - Bath | Another tough call with most 11's in contention
- Max Ojomoh - Bath | Came out the blocks firing and was a threat with ball in hand
- Tom Litchfield - Northampton | Hat trick of tries and an everpresent threat
- Tommy Freeman - Northampton | Huge factor for Saints with his incredible strength and pace
- Freddie Steward - Leicester | Tight call between he and George Furbank but we feel the Tiger edges it, ever so slightly.
