Born into a sporting family—his mother Hester was a national‑level triathlete and his sister Zoe a hurdler at the University of Georgia—Pollock began playing multi‑sports including triathlon before focusing on rugby at Beachborough Prep School and Buckingham RUFC. He subsequently attended Stowe School, where a switching from scrum‑half to flanker became permanent following coaches’ observations of his combative style.
He captained Saints Under‑18s to the Academy League final in 2023.
At 17, Pollock made his first‑team debut for Northampton Saints in a Premiership Rugby Cup match in September 2022. He scored two tries early in his senior outings, becoming the club’s youngest era‑professional try‑scorer. He made his Premiership debut in November 2023 off the bench against Leicester Tigers.
The 2024‑25 season marked his major breakthrough. Pollock made 22 senior appearances, scoring ten tries, including a solo chip‑and‑chase effort that earned Try of the Season, and collected a trio of club awards: Breakthrough Player, Young Player and Try of the Season. At the 2025 Rugby Awards, he was named Premiership Breakthrough Player of the Season.
His form in the Champions Cup was equally exceptional: seven tries in as many matches, with standout performances against Castres and Leinster en route to the 2025 Final.
Pollock starred for England U20, notably scoring a hat‑trick on debut in the 2024 Six Nations U20 tournament, leading England to a Grand Slam and the World Rugby U20 Championship title. He was named Player of the Tournament and earned multiple Man of the Match nods.
In May 2025, aged just 20, he became the youngest forward ever selected for a British & Irish Lions tour, heading to Australia after barely 30 minutes of senior Test rugby. He made his Lions debut against Argentina and earned his first Lions start at blind‑side flanker on tour against the Western Force, with his line out skill singled out as a key asset.
