Jimmy Gopperth
Gopperth led his Wasps side from the front in a historic win at Welford Road, in Round 2 of the Premiership. He scored 19 points and had a hand in a couple of the tries, one of which he scored himself. For the first try he was the sole creator. After making a fantastic cover tackle, he got back to his feet to steal the ball and make a break down the outside. He then passed the ball to Christian Wade who got over the line for the score. Though he missed 3 penalties in the game, it was he who got over for his side's crucial bonus point try. He found himself in an unlikely position at the back of the maul, and managed to drive over the line to touch down. Wasps certainly would not have come away with full points in this one without him.
Rhys Webb
He scored two tries in his sides drubbing of Connacht in Galway. He was an ever present threat around the ruck and was always in support of his teammates, Dan Evans and Sam Davies, whenever they made linebreaks. He got over for the first try of the game after a strong attacking 5m scrum. He later was the closest man to Evans and collected an offload from him to run in under the posts for 5 points. He seemed to command his forwards well and work in tandem with Davies to have the backline moving onto the ball at pace throughout the game.
Noa Nakaitaci
Clermont had a 47-10 win over Racing to continue their unbeaten run in the Top 14. In Clermont's first home game of the season, Nakaitaci managed to get over the tryline 3 times. The three tries showed off the fantastic skillset of the French international. The first was a fantastic solo score in which he used his quick feet to dance around an opposition prop before fending off 3 would-be-tacklers on his way t the line. The second was a matter of being in the right place at the right time, as Fofana put his teammate away after drawing the final man. The hat-trick came in the 65th minute, as the man of the hour found himself infield and 5m out from the try-line. He used all of his force to pick the ball at the back of the ruck and drive through 3 defenders to dot down. A fantastic all around performance by the winger.
