Mike Phillips backs Murray as Lions captain but couldn't resist a little dig

Wales and British & Irish Lions legend Mike Phillips has backed Warren Gatland's choice to appoint Conor Murray as Alun Wyn Jones' successor as tour captain.
Jones sustained a Tour-ending shoulder injury during the Lions 28-10 win over Japan at BT Murrayfield Stadium with Conor Murray named as his successor soon after the game.
"Alun Wyn will obviously be a big loss, both on and off the field, but will be ably replaced by Connor." British and Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland said.
"Conor is an outstanding rugby player and is held in the highest regard with both the players and coaches. As a three-time Lions tourist, he knows what will be required as captain and I am certain he will lead the squad with excellence. He will also be well supported by an experienced leadership group."
Mike Phillips took to Twitter to say Murray is a wise choice by Gatland before having a little dig - in jest - at Murray.
Murray being picked as captain is a great choice!" Phillips said.
"Very likeable guy and he’s a starter for sure. The poor man’s Mike Phillips has done well."
