Lyon director of rugby Pierre Mignoni reckons there’s more to come from his side as he prepares them for the club’s first EPCR Challenge Cup semi-final on Saturday.
The TOP 14 side host 2003 winners Wasps at the Matmut Stadium de Gerland after defeating Glasgow Warriors 35-27 at the same venue in last weekend’s quarter-finals.
“Our team need to understand that they haven’t reached their limits yet,” Mignoni told Progrès. “They create obstacles of their own by lacking precision on simple things, when they have the potential to achieve incredible things.”
LOU captain Patrick Sobela believes the No.1 seeds are a match for anyone when they are on form.
“When we set up our game properly, when we are united, we are not afraid of any team,” he said. “When we all play well together, we are really confident.
“But if we want to beat Wasps, who are accustomed to big European games, we must be more aware of our potential and push our limits a little more. “
