Lions to face Haka outside Tests & Maori Game

The British & Irish Lions tour is going to be even more Kiwi based than first expected, with the recent news of three Super Rugby franchises revealing that they will perform the famous war dance.

The Blues, Chiefs and Crusaders will perform the pre-match haka unique to each side, while the Highlanders and Hurricanes players decided against it.

It will be the first time the Lions have faced the traditional Maori war dance, outside All Black tests and games against New Zealand Maori.

The 10-match Lions tour starts in Whangarei on June 3, when they play the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians.
