Leinster Rugby confirms move to Aviva Stadium for 2024/2025 season

Leinster Rugby confirms move to Aviva Stadium for 2024/2025 season

With the date confirmed for the renewal of Season Tickets for next season, Leinster Rugby can this afternoon also confirm that the club will play its BKT United Rugby Championship and Investec Champions Cup games away from the RDS Arena for the 2024/25 season.

Due to a planned regeneration of the RDS Arena it is unlikely to be available for use and as a result, an alternative option for the season ahead was required.

As a result, Leinster Rugby will play the majority of its games in the URC and the Champions Cup in the Aviva Stadium, with Croke Park also hosting a number of games across the season. Games in the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship will continue to be played at Energia Park, in Donnybrook.

Leinster Rugby also confirmed plans for their Season Tickets, as follows:

  • No increase in the cost of Season Tickets for the 2024/25 season;
  • Access to all home senior men and senior women’s competitive regular season fixtures;
  • A new cheaper entry level ticket that will allow more supporters than ever a chance to experience Leinster Rugby games on a season-long basis;
  • A new family ticket, for a family of five;
  • A new student ticket offering; and
  • A Season Ticket Pack with several redemption options in terms of the gift selected.

Season Tickets for the 2024/25 season will go on sale to the over 12,800 Season Ticket Holders on Tuesday, 23 April 2024 and current account holders will be given an exclusive window of a week within which to purchase their tickets.

From Wednesday, 1 May 2024, the sales window will be open to the existing waiting list, ahead of the public sale which will open on Friday morning, 3 May 2024.

Finally, Leinster Rugby confirmed that Season Ticket Holders that purchase a ticket for next season will also have priority purchase on tickets that become available when Leinster Rugby return to play at the RDS Arena.

Speaking to leinsterrugby.ie this morning, Leinster Rugby CEO, Shane Nolan said, “This a hugely exciting update for everyone associated with Leinster Rugby and we look forward to supporting the RDS in its ambition to regenerate.

“We are very fortunate to be able to relocate to Aviva Stadium, a stadium that we are very familiar with as an organisation and as a supporter base, and where we have enjoyed many brilliant days together. Last Saturday’s win was another one to add to a long list of great days.

“I’d like to put on record my appreciation and indeed the Leinster Rugby Branch’s appreciation to the Boards of the RDS, the IRFU, the FAI and the Aviva Stadium for all their help in facilitating this move and indeed to the GAA for their help in securing Croke Park for a number of games next season.

“It will be a season like no other, of that there will be no doubt, and while we acknowledge that there will be some inconvenience in any stadium move, we are also very excited to bring a full season of Leinster Rugby matches to venues of the quality of the Aviva Stadium and Croke Park, two of the finest stadia in Europe.

“We very much appreciate in advance the ongoing support of our Season Ticket Holders as we navigate the road ahead during the RDS regeneration and we look forward to an exciting chapter for Leinster Rugby at the Aviva Stadium, and in time, a return to an even better RDS Arena.”
