Harlequins ready to face Saracens at the Stoop

Harlequins have named their matchday squad for Sunday’s Gallagher Premiership clash with London rivals Saracens at a sold-out Twickenham Stoop stadium for Derby Weekend (KO 15:00).

The Starting XV features three changes following the close defeat to Northampton Saints, with Cadan Murley returning from injury on the wing and Dino Lamb and Leigh Halfpenny returning to the starting line up. Prop Joe Marler returns to the matchday squad as an Impact Player.

In the forwards, props Fin Baxter and Titi Lamositele continue alongside hooker Jack Walker in an unchanged front-row. Irne Herbst continues alongside captain Stephan Lewies at second-row, with Jack Kenningham being joined by Dimo Lamb on the flanks. Chandler Cunningham-South moves to the bench and James Chisholm completes the pack at number eight.

In the backs, Will Porter returns at scrum-half, with Marcus Smith moving reverting to his usual number 10 role. In the centres, Lennox Anyanwu is joined by Oscar Beard who moves in from the wing to outside centre. Cadan Murley and Nick David start on the wings, with Leigh Halfpenny fit to return at fullback.

The Impact Players feature a six-two split, with Nathan Jibulu joining Joe Marler and Dillon Lewis in the front-row. Joe Launchbury, Will Evans and Chandler Cunningham-South complete the pack, with Danny Care and Jarrod Evans the impact backs.

Head Coach Danny Wilson commented: “Saracens are a very well coached team full of quality rugby players. We have had a good week training and are really looking forward to the home derby and being in front of our fans and building on recent performances.

This weekend’s fixture is themed in memory of Seb Adeniran-Olule who died aged 20 in 2016. The Club is supporting Seb’s Foundation to raise funds for mental health first aid training for school teachers and sports coaches.
