France International re-signs with Clermont

Centre Wesley Fofana has signed a new four-year deal with ASM Clermont Auvergne which will see him remain with until at least June 2023.

Fofana is coming out of two difficult seasons after injuring his Achilles heel in January 2017, which kept him away from the field for ten months, before returning to action for just five games before picking up another injury.

He returned in March this year and was unable to his side qualify for the Top 14 playoffs

The 30-year-old started his career at Clermont during the 2008-2009 season and has signed an extension with the club with his previous contract running out in July 2019.
