England vs Ireland: A look at the numbers

In a pre-match interview that took place during the week, Ireland coach Andy Farrell said that England were a dangerous team. Indeed England proved to be a team to not be taken lightly, as they secured a narrow 23-33 win over the reigning 6Nations champions Ireland.

The loss not only saw an end to Irelands undefeated start to 2024, it also ended their perfect six nations record. We take a look at the numbers and see who led the stats.

Irish prop Andrews Porter and English flanker Ollie Chessum's two steals saw them top the list above the rest. 14 tackles from George Martin and Ollie Lawrence's 14 tackles ensured the lethal Irish attack were kept at bay, while in third place was Caelan Doris who's valiant effort to keep the english out saw him end the night on 13 tackles, one ahead of teammate Josh van der Vlier.
