England Player Ratings v New Zealand

England dethroned New Zealand with a magnificent performance in Yokohama to set up a final against South Africa or Wales.

Manu Tuilagi's early try set the tone as England shattered New Zealand's hopes of winning an unprecedented third consecutive Rugby World Cup and moved into the final with a famous 19-7 victory.

1. Mako Vunipola - 7.5

Excellent in the scrum and superb around the park making 15 carries and 7 tackles.

2. Jamie George - 7

Solid at the set pieces, excellent in the rucks and on defence.

3. Kyle Sinckler - 6.5

Some excellent touches with ball in hand, solid scrummaging and strong on defence.

4. Maro Itoje - 8.5

Superb in the lineout, a menace all over the pitch and played a key role in dismantling the All Blacks and gaining dominance upfront.

5. Courtney Lawes - 7

A strong 54 minutes as he weighed in heavily on defence making 9 tackles, carried 7 times and worked excellently with Itoje at the lineout.

6. Tom Curry - 8

Superb game from the youngster. He sent the All Blacks tracking back with some big hits and was superb at the breakdown.

7. Sam Underhill - 8.5

HUGE on defence! Worked tirelessly for 69 minutes making 14 tackles, 5 carries and won two turnovers.

Easily one of England's best and ran Itoje close for man of the match.

8. Billy Vunipola - 8

Completed a stellar performance from England's pack. Vunipola was incredibly busy making 17 carries and 12 tackles providing England with great go-forward ball and strong defence.

9. Ben Youngs - 8

His passes were crisp and accurate but it was his accurate box kick that played a massive role in England's victory. His kicks were well-weighted and contestable giving England a great opportunity to get the ball back.

10. George Ford - 8

Linked superbly with Farrell and was excellent on defence missing just one of his 16 attempted tackles. He kicked well too and controlled the attack superbly.

11. Jonny May - 6

A solid outing from May. He made over 30 running metres and was strong in the air before he was replaced shortly after half time.

12. Owen Farrell  - 8

Had a number of excellent touches and was superb on defence making 15 tackles despite carrying a knock for most the game.

Like Ford, he kicked well and also made 36 running metres.

13. Manu Tuilagi - 8

Did well to finish England's first try of the game and was strong with ball in hand.

He defended well and also added value in the ruck.

14. Anthony Watson - 8.5

Racked up 81 running metres beating 5 defenders. Watson was brilliant every time he touched the ball and was superb under the high ball while also making 9 tackles.

15. Elliot Daly - 7

A solid game from Daly as he covered the backfield well and kicked even better.

Didn't see as much ball as he would have liked.
