Creevy vs His Idol
Argentina captain Agustín Creevy is looking forward to coming up against the player he idolised growing up when los Pumas face New Zealand on Friday.
Creevy’s opposite man will be All Blacks stalwart Keven Mealamu, with the 36-year-old set to win 125th cap.
"When
I was young, every time I saw him, [I thought he was] a star,”
Creevy told Fairfax Media.
"I'm really happy playing against him. He's a very good person, a good guy
and a really good player.”
2014 was a notable year for Creevy’s side as they picked up a first ever win in the Rugby Championship when they defeated Australia.
Creevy now wants his side to push forwards and while admitting that the All Blacks have “no weaknesses” he also believes that the gap is closing between Argentina and the other sides in the competition."We know that we are getting closer to them and we are learning about playing against them and, one time, the possibility of winning, will come."
