Bristol look to maul Wasps after Round 1 loss
- 1305
After enjoying a bye in Round 1, Wasps will kick off their campaign against Bristol Bears at the Ricoh Arena. A much-improved season will be in the minds of Lee Blackett’s troops as they only managed 8th spot on the overall standings. Their last Premiership action came against the Leicester Tigers at the Ricoh Arena, the home side losing out 38-31.
Bristol opened the 2021-22 tournament against Saracens on the former’s home turf. Saracens threw down a marker, however, a powered to a 26-9 victory over Pat Lam’s charges.
Bristol, who finished top of the log last season, will be feeling frustrated about their start which will have been well below the standards they will have set for themselves and Wasps will have their hands full containing one of the competition’s top sides who will be impatient to climb the ladder.
